Sexual liberation.
As i am a romantic pervert myself, i couldn' stop watching the movie whispering anxiously in my mind "this time is not porn, it's art". And is not porn, it's Alfred Kinsey in a scaled model of Newyork playin' GodMode , conducting his experiments.
John Cameron Mitchell gets the perfect place (for me) to have peace and tranquility on screen . "Shortbus - t's like the '60s -- but with less hope" .
If you like this movie, call me, maybe we'll meet, make Shortbus come true in our hometown too:D Don't forget to also watch Mitchell's "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" rock odyssey.

Squarepusher : 'Hello Meow'
Jamie Lidell's vocal cords meat Squarepusher's VGM'istic bass synth and same old laptop arpegiator.

Children of men
Hand held camera, natural light, action scenes with all the immediacy of guided improvisation and a freak show of mad-house rebellion make for a level of energy and tension rarely seen and increasingly spectacular. Terry Gilliam meets a "Clockwork Orange." The last thing I can remember with this kind of natural look and pacing was 1984's "The Killing Fields" for which cinematographer Chris Menges received a well deserved Academy Award. This, however, is an excellence of its own. For action fans, sci-fi fans, P.D. James and Clive Owens fans, a must-see.
